Holly House School

Welcome to Holly House Schools Residential Unit which is unique within the in the Local Authority. Our offer is based around our principles of the 3 R's as mentioned in the Head Teachers welcome.

We run with a staff team of 5 professionals all with years of experience providing support to young people. We focus on the ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ to help our young people deal with the many hurdles that life can bring.

We have Mental Health trained staff on the unit who have developed a vast range of skills to help young people in developing strategies to help them cope with challenging situations and move forward in a positive way.

The unit ethos is for the pupils who access our care to “Be the Best you can be” which is based around fostering positive relationships with young people and encouraging them to try their best in everything they do.

This ethos is the platform for us to deliver tailor made care packages and support for our pupils and their families whether in school or at home. These packages are delivered by our trained staff and with that support we plan for the pupils to move from us to a mainstream setting, or a tailor-made placement which is best suited to meet all their needs when they come to leave Holly House.
