Attendance Matters
Supporting Your Child’s School Attendance (2024/5)
The DfE has updated its guidance to families for pupil attendance. We know that attendance is the singularly most important factor that ensures your childs positive progress.
We know that regular school attendance is essential not only for academic success but also for fostering positive social development. When pupils attend school consistently, they build strong relationships with peers, teachers, and staff. These connections contribute to a sense of belonging, self-confidence, and emotional well-being. Moreover, participating in group activities, clubs, and events enhances social skills, teamwork, and empathy. By attending school regularly, students not only gain knowledge but also develop crucial life skills for life that prepare them for future success.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of pupil attendance you are welcome contact our Senior Attendance Champion, Mr Klafkowski on the school number: 01246 450530 or email info@hollyhouse.derbyshire.sch.uk
